It's Time For Apple Cake

It's Time For Apple Cake!

Hello Ladies!

It is that time of the year where all of the cinnamon and spice fills the air, and of course....APPLES!
I have a wedding cake to do at the end of the month and thought I would share a recipe that we are doing for the "pumpkin cake" tier!
We did a "test" cake just to make sure that I could do this, for I have NEVER made a pumpkin shape cake.

I will be linking up with The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays and looking forward to see what my blogland girls have been up to!

I started with two bundt cake pans which helped a lot for the shape of the cake. I believe for the wedding cake I will have to carve the pumpkin out.
The cake is a Vanilla Sponge Cake with apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts. The recipe can be found HEREHERE

And here it is completed. Normally you would decorated all of your pieces, paint your pumpkin and then place everything on the pumpkin. But because this was just to see if I could do the pumpkin, everyone wanted to see it painted. It is not the best of jobs, but it does have some color!

Happy Decorating!

I am stunned at how beautiful this cake is! Honestly, I thought the painted version was ceramic and you were copying it. Wow, you are talented!
